Myth Busting Special
Seasonal eating, intermittent fasting, the best workouts and more
Name me almost any profession, and I’m willing to bet the reality rarely squares with public perception. Naturopathy is no exception. Cue Myth #1: Naturopaths are Pillars of Do-Goodiness.
The world of health and wellness can be particularly controversial - it’s a topic many of us find interesting and deeply personal. It stands to reason it’s a charged subject.
After all, who amongst us wouldn’t want to feel their best?
To make things more interesting, a lot of the well being bandwidth is championed by companies who have a vested interest, influencers, and every single person who has ever listened to a health podcast. In other words, misinformation is rife, and it can be hard to spot the real deal.
It’s time to take on a few of these sacred cows.
Myth Busting Special
I promise that I do not, and never have, accepted sponsorship deals for what I write (it’s been offered).
I also promise that I’m a far cry from knowing everything on the topic of wellness, but I do know a fair bit. I dig deep on the latest research on the regular. I’ve been blessed to know several profound healers in my time, and I come at well being from a point of view that combines the latest science with the oldest wisdom.
Wellness is my profession, but it’s also my hobby, and at the end of the day, it’s my passion.
And so, here are my two cents. These topics were suggested by readers. As always, I welcome comments!
